PolicyTree is an arena where political ideologies compete on merit, not tribal loyalty. Each "head" is an AI prompt representing a political worldview — from real parties to philosophical systems.

Heads are identified by hex codes only (e.g., 00usde), not party names. You vote on the ideas, not the labels.

Open Source

PolicyTree will become fully open source. Anyone can deploy their own instance anywhere. Fork it, modify it, run it your way.

Federation

We're planning federation of seed documents — the official party platforms and manifestos. When the US Democratic Platform changes after an election, or any party updates their manifesto, those git-tracked updates will sync across federated instances.

Seed heads and their full version history will be downloadable from our site in archive format.

Transparency

Every policy is a "git head" — every change is tracked, every fork is visible. No hidden agendas, just honest perspectives competing in the open.

Ask a Question

Type any political question — broad ("Should we have universal healthcare?") or specific to your situation ("I'm a small business owner worried about minimum wage increases").

Compare Responses

You'll see multiple responses from different ideologies. Read them without knowing which party they represent — the IDs are hidden until you vote.

Vote

Click "Select" on the response you find most compelling. After voting, all identities are revealed and the head gains ELO rating.

Customize in Preferences

Open the ☰ menu and choose Preferences to control how many responses you see and which categories of heads to include.

Create Your Own

Use Create Head in the menu to design your own political ideology through conversation with an AI assistant. Fork existing heads or start from scratch.
